Your Company can get a phone number from, or bring a phone number to, OfficeKey. Callers assume Personnel are at the company's office, even though Personnel may be on a cell or home office phone. When callers are assisted by OfficeKey, they assume it is a receptionist employed by the company. Assist Callers as Needed means that during business hours, callers press zero to get assistance. Assist Every Caller means that during business hours, callers hear a live greeting "Thank you for calling ____, how may we help you?"
A Direct-dial Number is for personnel to put on business cards instead of a cell number. Personnel have voicemail with a business greeting like "This is Jim of ABC Company" During business hours, calls forward to the Personnel's cell phone, where he/she presses "star" to take the call or "one" to connect caller to Personnel's business voicemail. After-hours calls forward to Personnel's business voicemail. Direct-dial numbers unlike cell numbers, stay with the company when Personnel leave.
A Cisco phone has a direct-dial number. It uses Voice-over-IP technology. The Cisco phone maintains its number and features even when moved to Internet connections at a office, home or hotel. Voice messages are emailed to the Personnel's address.
